Receiving requisitions for Repairs, Services and Reconditions from ship and sending to suppliers RFQ.
Obtaining quotes, receiving approvals and placing orders.
Coordinating with the Repairs & Spare parts Leader and respective superintendent about the most cost-effective way to arrange the services.
Planning, coordinating, monitoring and following-up Repairs, Services and Reconditions, organizing attendances of Service providers onboard.
Checking and approving invoices against orders.
Searching the market for new sources of consumables, spares and workshops.
Assists in organizing new projects and dry dockings under the guidance of the Repairs & Spare parts Leader & technical superintendents.
Inputs the various technical information, service reports in the company’s system as well as information related to purchasing, invoicing, certification, and various technical matters.
Occasionally attends a vessel as deemed necessary.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED?
Degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical/Marine Engineering
3 years of experience as a Technical coordinator will be considered as an asset.
Efficiency in troubleshooting, organizing skills, attention to detail.
The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Willingness for continuous learning.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
