WHAT YOU’LL DO?

• To negotiate and fix time charter parties and/or voyage charters.
• Selling of physical freight (spot/forward bookings and COAs), vessel chartering in/out, and operating.
• Strategic planning of the bulker fleet development.
• Assist in forming and executing commercial strategies, marketing and business development.
• To maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients, brokers, agents, owners.
• To closely follow the performance of voyages and work closely with the Operations Department to optimize voyage efficiency, report results, and provide operational/customer follow up.
• Timely internal management reporting (ongoing commercial activity results, disputes, customer complaints, operational challenges etc.).
• Deep understanding of the developing regulations and in charge of full compliance with all regulation requirements.
• Building a top-class team to enable a best-in-class commercial performance.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

• A bachelor’s in business administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering. MBA is an advantage.
• Chartering professional, with at least 5 years international dry cargo chartering/trading experience.
• Experience in the Handy and Supermax trades is preferred.
• Knowledge of cargo demand and supply trends.
• A thorough understanding of the operational practices, policies, and strategies of dry cargo chartering.
• An ability to build strong relationships with customers, brokers, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leading skills.
• English language proficiency is essential.
• Team building capabilities.
